Killed projects
Designs that were favoured by the designer, but were developed differently or were rejected in favour of other solutions.
UTS SOUL Award Identity 2021
The brief was to explore a unique identity for the UTS SOUL Award which encourages UTS students to engage in activism and volunteering. The identity needed to fit within the university’s existing brand language, but speak to the dynamism and spirit of the program. The whole project was shelved, though may be revived in the future.
When He Came Home 2021
Book cover design concept for Australian Scholarly Publishing (ASP). This was one of four designs submitted to the publisher for consideration. The stark, dramatic typography was a good fit for the text’s serious and harrowing content. The publisher ended up choosing one of the other designs submitted, however this design remains a favourite.
Whitelion Youth 2021
Pro bono identity design work for youth charity Whitelion Youth. Whilst we worked with the charity for almost a year on this project, they ended up redefining their requirements and moved away from the desire to rebrand their identity.
